I object to the word human. HuMAN??? It’s very offensive in this context.

Great catch Andy! I apologize.

Let's start a campaign to eliminate HuMAN from the English language and MANufacturing as well.

Ooops, USAid money no longer available. Darn. 😥

In the big scheme of things we are the carbon they want to get rid of so why not start with the impaired first! Cut them off from their supply... but wait is climate change bigger than big pharma??? Who wins that war!

So silly but the sad thing is that you even have this topic to write about. How much did the taxpayers pay for those stupid studies (including the 65% overhead)?

Thanks for stopping by Urs! Yes, just when you think you heard it all, another lame one pops up! 🤦

The propellent used in asthma inhalers was changed over concerns related to the ozone layer. The new propellents suck, and don't help get the medicine as deep into the lungs as the old one. For awhile you could get black market inhalers with the old propellent online but they are all gone now.

What I came to say!! From experience!! We wasted so much money! and they are expensive! On something that didn't work and you can't return!!! We've had to find other ways to survive so perhaps that's better after all but so much more trouble. Inhalation saline in super expensive and you need a prescription for nebulizer and even pure saline! 😡🤷🏻‍♀️ Just shoot me. 🔫

It is so sad that once vaunted educational institutions have fallen to such depths as employing people who believe this is even remotely important. Ironically, I assure you if Dr JT had asthma, she would be the first to be using her inhaler as often as she deemed necessary.

About a year ago some surgeon claiming to be an "expert" said that anesthetic gasses account for one percent of the man-made carbon that's "spewed" into the atmosphere, and we should consider doing surgeries without anesthesia. I gathered the necessary information and ran the numbers. Long story short, for this to be true a patient would have to take tens of thousands of breaths, consuming over 400 pounds by weight of a typical anesthetic gas during a two hour operation. That's a lot of huffing and puffing for someone who's heavily sedated.

Interesting 🤔! I am going bite a stick for my next surgery and forgo the anesthesia. Everybody has to do their part 😜, right?

I'd suggest the "expert" should have surgery just biting a stick.....

Half a bottle of tequila upgrade and a stick for the patient at least 🤔

Tuco, per your request, here is Dudley getting one of his twice daily doses off his Fluticasone inhaler (the preventative one, he also gets the Albuterol one as needed). The device is called an Aerokat and it has a chamber that you can aerosolize the dose into. There is a little green tab at the top of the device that flips back and forth, allowing you to see how many times the cat breathes in. We shoot for ~10 breaths with Dudley. He’s gotten pretty used to it and normally I do this solo but needed extra hands to record. Updated link: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4Mjg0OTE3MTY1MjE3NjI2

Dudley🥹❤️ is so cute and that is amazing how he stays still for his asthma inhaler. ! You are a great cat mom.

He’s getting much better. He used to always try to run away and hide under a bed. Now he’s pretty accepting of it and I think maybe a neuron fired off somewhere in that little brain that made him realize this makes him breathe easier. It’s also fortunate for us that he likes American cheese, that’s how he gets his oral steroids when he needs them, wrapped in a little ball of Kraft 🧀.

My cat Dudley (shown here in my Instagram feed: https://www.instagram.com/stories/cathymcgeary/3569374811618467621) uses both of the inhalers for his asthma, through a clever device called an Aerokat. I never knew that cats could get asthma until I had a cat that does. That being said, my cat is more important than any bullshit about global warming! 😻

Very 😎.

Do you have a picture of the cat taking a hit off the inhaler ?

I miss the 80s too!

I’ll have to get one the next time my sons are at my house. Can’t do it myself because I need both hands with Dudley, one to hold the cat and the other holds the inhaler. He’s a good boy about it, though.

Hello Andy, glad you stopped by, Yes, its amazingly lame- citing and cited references to JTs JAMA article are voluminous and supportive of 🗑️ inhaler warming. FREEDOM LOVER posted that a Dr. was raving that anesthesia is a problem as well. I looked up the academic literature re. general anesthesia chemicals causing global warming, and it exists with many papers, Maybe 0.1 % CO2e. Ridiculous.
