This is good news. Stop crony capitalism, and let the chips fall where they may. People, like myself, will then realize the ICE is the most efficient way to go. Don't pay me someone else's hard earned tax money, as an enticement to buy something I do not really want. And, if one were concerned about their "carbon footprint", the ICE in the end will have less effect. Happy for anyone that feels the need for an EV, but do not take away the ICE, and do not make me subsidize your virtue signal EV.
Nice article! EVisceration😄. Maybe a subsidy plan keyed to one’s oppression index score could save EVs. The truly oppressed could get one for free, but anyone with a job would only get a $25,000 subsidy. Might work.

🤔 wondering at the "eventual full EV adobtion" claim. I can certainly see it in major cities as Boomers, and Gen X, and Gen Y die off. Gen Z seems more willing to switch. But rural areas, I never see it, you just can't afford to get stranded.
Battery vehicles only had any euphoria from those benefitting from them - the masses were never on board - anyone comparing a battery car, to an ICE car, can clearly see ICE is far superior in 99% aspects
Excellent writing in calling this absurdity for what it is, which is nothing more than a shiny new… FAD. Every car I’ve owned since 2012 has had a manual transmission and I don’t plan on changing. And as a consumer, that’s a right we should all have, which is to purchase what we want.
Papaw Joe Draconian Biden has taken the same approach with EVs as was taken with COVID vaccines: manipulation. If anyone ever has to manipulate you into doing something, the benefits are primarily for the manipulator and not the manipulatee.
